India is a place to love and hate!! Kolkata -
a city of twelve million people. Friendly, safe, chaotic and polluted. Scenes of old colonial decaying edifices and slums or bustees on railway tracks.Such incredible cultures, friendly people (1.4 billion of them), colour, vibrance, safe, decaying ancient buildings, colonial edifices…. The other side - so many cars, motorbikes, tuk tuks, rickshaws and pollution beyond all reason, the endless blowing of horns, proselytising Hindu mantras over blaring loud speakers, shocking societal divisions. It draws you in but you have to accept the lack of consideration on roads and the mass of humanity on the streets. The potential for photos huge but not easy!!!
