Namibia 22
Namibia has a population of approximately 2 million people. It is sparsely populated and predominantly desert. It has incredible desert scenery in the Namib Nauklauft (the oldest desert on Earth at 300 million years), wonderful desert adapted wildlife and tribes who live in the remote north in Kunene and Kaokoland.
Because of the harsh desert climate in the region where they live and their seclusion from outside influences, the Himba have managed to maintain and preserve much of their traditional lifestyle. Members live under a tribal structure based on bilateral descent that helps them live in one of the most extreme environments on earth.
